Giannis Antetokounmpo bid farewell to Milwaukee on Monday as his trade to the Miami Heat became official.
Antetokounmpo spent 13 years with the Bucks, leading them to the NBA title in 2021, their first in 50 years. He was a two-time NBA MVP and leaves as the franchise’s all-time leader in points, rebounds and assists.
“No matter where I am, Milwaukee will always be my city, my team, my family,” Antetokounmpo said in a video posted to social media.

Bucks ownership and general manager Jon Horst also put out statements on the tenure of Antetokounmpo and what he meant to the organization.
