Brewers play on WIZM on Saturday
The Milwaukee Brewers take the field on WIZM today.
That's because the Green Bay Packers are playing their final preseason game today against the Seattle Seahawks.
The game at Lambeau Field can be heard on WKTY starting with the pregame at 3 p.m.
It means that the Brewers-Giants game moves to WIZM 1410 AM, 92.3 FM.
Pregame coverage starts at 5:35 p.m.
Milwaukee has the best record in baseball. They're the first team in the majors this season to win 80 games. The lead the NL Central Division by seven games over the Chicago Cubs.
Some of the best bass anglers in the country are in La Crosse
A lot of fish are about to get caught over the next three days as some of the best anglers in the country come to La Crosse.
The final Bassmaster Elite Series tournament of the season runs from Thursday, August 21 through Sunday, August 24.
101 anglers head out to fish Pools 7, 8, and 9 every morning at 7 a.m. Weigh-ins begin at 3 p.m.
All of the events around the tournament are at the Lumberyard at Copeland Park.
With the exception of a BassmastHER workshop on Saturday, all of the events at the ballpark are free.
A number of Bassmaster sponsors will have tents and displays set up for fans to enjoy.
The winner of the tournament gets a check for $100,000.
In addition, the Elite Series Angler of the Year and Rookie of the Year are determined by how well the anglers do. Both competitions for those titles are close coming into the tournament.
There’s also a number of anglers hoping to do well enough to qualify for the 2026 Bassmaster Classic, known by some as the Super Bowl of Bass Fishing.
Festival Foods La Crosse Marathon gives $34K to community
Runners who took part in this year's Festival Foods La Crosse Marathon did more than just finish the race.
Through the marathon, organizers provided more than $34,000 to four local groups to support the work they do in the community.
ORA Trails, Joe Was Just Joe Foundation, St. Clare Health Mission, and the Greene Park Project in West Salem were this year's recipients.
In three years, over $85,000 went to local organizations.
